Hiring process

In-person interview

Stop by our office any weekday between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM for an informal interview. We'll discuss the role in detail and, for driving positions, explain how to obtain your CDL learner's permit.

Required documentation

For driving positions, please bring:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Complete driving record (3-year records are not accepted)
You can obtain your complete driving record at any MVA kiosk (no appointment needed) or order online from the MVA website.

Available positions

School Bus Driver

Paid CDL training

Transport students to and from school each day in a full-length or special-ed bus. Guaranteed 6-hour minimum day (typical shifts 6:30–9:30 AM and 2:00–5:00 PM). A Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements is required — but you don't need one to apply. We offer PAID training to help you earn your CDL, and we walk you through every step at your informal interview.

Requirements

  • Maryland driver's license required for CDL training program
  • No CDL required to apply — PAID training provided
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening
  • Patient, responsible, and punctual

Van Driver

No CDL required

Transport students in smaller vehicles for a more personalized ride. Guaranteed 6-hour minimum day with typical shifts 6:30–9:30 AM and 2:00–5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with clean record (no CDL required)
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening
  • Patient and responsible attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Experience with children preferred

Bus Attendant

Rewarding work

Ride along on special-ed or van routes to assist with student management and engagement. Help ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation.

Requirements

  • Able to pass background check and drug screening
  • Patient and compassionate demeanor
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with children preferred but not required
